I highly recommend Leen Adventures to anyone looking for an unforgettable safari adventure.Posted on PatrycjaVerified The best local guide I highly recommend local guide Leen Adventures. They organize many trips to beautiful places in Tanzania. I visited a hidden waterfall and a lake overlooking the mountains. It was amazing view! ♥️Bardzo polecam lokalnego przewodnika Leen Adventures. Organizują wiele wycieczek do pięknych miejsc w Tanzanii. Odwiedziłam ukryty wodospad i jezioro z widokiem na góry. Widok był niesamowity! ♥️Posted on Davide DVerified Great local travel agent, reinvesting profits for the development of the village Fantastic! Whether you want to make a big popular tour (Kilimanjaro, Safaris), or you want to discover hidden gems in Tanzania - such as Materuni waterfall - you are in good hands with Lee adventures. Local travel agent, with competitive prices, they reinvest into the sustainable development of the community. Also, by booking with a local tour operator, you avoid exploiting local workers, and they get a fair pay and treatment.Thank you Antpas and to all the team!Posted on Giovanni MVerified An incredible experience ever during the Kili Climb My girlfriend and I had a fantastic time climbing Kilimanjaro with the best tour company, Leen Adventure. They really looked after us, from the airport pick-up to the accommodation before and after the climb, and the food at the mountain was a restaurant level, with our chef James accommodating vegetarian dietary restrictions. Each day, our chef (stomach engineers), waiter, and porters assisted in setting up our camp and preparing snacks and warm meals for us. They even went so far as to greet us each morning with coffee in our tent to enhance the overall experience. Medicines such as Diamox were available and oximeter, our crew was key to our success in reaching the summit!!The price was quite fair, the equipment was in excellent condition, the administration and up-front information were perfect. Will certainly recommend Leen Adventures because you will be filled with gratitude and enthusiasm for everyone you meet :-)NOTEThe difficulty of reaching the summit should not be underestimated, train extensively and avoid taking the shortest route on this expedition, spend more days for better acclimatization because altitude is the worst enemy on this adventure.

When Is the Best Time to Explore Tanzania
Ideal for Tanzania Safaris & Kilimanjaro Treks
January brings warm, dry weather—which is perfect for exploring Tanzania’s iconic safari destinations like Serengeti and Tarangire. Wildlife gathers around waterholes, thereby making game viewing easier and more rewarding. Meanwhile, for adventurers tackling the mountain, Kilimanjaro Treks offer stable climbing conditions, though nights can be cold. Overall, this month provides an excellent balance of thrilling safari experiences and rewarding mountain climbs across Tanzania.
Prime Time for Tanzania Safaris & Kilimanjaro Treks
February is a spectacular month for Tanzania Safaris, especially in the Southern Serengeti where thousands of wildebeest give birth during the calving season. This natural event attracts predators, thereby creating dramatic and unforgettable game viewing opportunities. Meanwhile, Kilimanjaro Treks benefit from drier trails and clear skies, providing excellent conditions for climbers. Overall, this month is ideal for wildlife enthusiasts and adventure seekers looking to experience East Africa’s raw beauty.
Last Chance for Tanzania Safaris Before the Long Rains
Early March still offers excellent conditions for Tanzania Safaris, particularly in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti, where wildlife remains active and visible. However, as the month progresses, clouds start to build, signaling the approach of the long rains. Kilimanjaro Treks are still possible, but they become more challenging due to increasing wet conditions. Therefore, March is a transitional month for travelers planning adventures in Tanzania, making early bookings essential for the best experience.
Green Season Begins for Tanzania Safaris
April marks the peak of the long rainy season in Tanzania. Although some parks become harder to access, this is the perfect time for a quiet and budget-friendly Tanzania Safari amid lush, green landscapes and fewer crowds. Due to slippery trails and heavy rainfall, Kilimanjaro Treks are generally not recommended this month. Overall, April is ideal for travelers seeking solitude, vibrant scenery, and more affordable safari options.
Lush Landscapes and Tranquil Tanzania Safaris
May remains part of the rainy season, bringing lush green scenery that transforms Tanzania’s national parks. As a result, it’s an off-peak time for Tanzania Safaris, offering lower lodge rates and fewer crowds at wildlife sightings. Although dense vegetation can make animal spotting more challenging, birdwatching opportunities flourish. Meanwhile, due to ongoing wet conditions, Kilimanjaro Treks continue to be difficult this month.
Start of the Peak Season for Tanzania Safaris
June marks the beginning of the dry season, making it one of the best months for Tanzania Safaris, particularly in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Wildlife viewing improves as animals gather near shrinking water sources, creating incredible game spotting opportunities. Meanwhile, Kilimanjaro Treks become more favorable with drier trails and crisp mountain air, ideal for climbers of all experience levels
Prime Time for Wildlife and Kilimanjaro Treks
July is peak season for Tanzania Safaris, offering exceptional game viewing across the Northern Circuit. The Great Migration moves northward, thereby bringing thrilling predator-prey action and unforgettable wildlife encounters. Clear skies and mild temperatures create ideal conditions for Kilimanjaro Treks, which contributes to some of the highest summit success rates. Consequently, this is a popular month for adventure seekers, so early bookings are highly recommended.
Best Month for the Great Migration & Kilimanjaro Treks
August is among the best months to witness the Great Migration in the Northern Serengeti, a highlight of any Tanzania Safari. The dramatic river crossings at the Mara River offer unforgettable wildlife spectacles. Moreover, with dry and cool weather, conditions are also ideal for Kilimanjaro Treks, providing climbers with clear skies and comfortable temperatures. Therefore, August is a perfect time to combine thrilling wildlife experiences with rewarding mountain adventures.
Excellent All-Round Weather for Safaris & Treks
September offers ideal weather for Tanzania Safaris, with the Great Migration still active and abundant wildlife across national parks. In addition, this month is also prime for Kilimanjaro Treks, featuring dry, stable conditions and excellent mountain visibility. Overall, September provides an exceptional opportunity for travelers to experience Tanzania’s spectacular wildlife and stunning landscapes in one unforgettable adventure.
Last of the Dry Season for Safaris & Treks
October marks the tail end of the dry season, providing excellent conditions for Tanzania Safaris as wildlife continues to gather near water sources, thereby making sightings easier and more frequent. Kilimanjaro Treks remain favorable this month, with cooler temperatures ideal for climbers. Therefore, October is a great time to visit Tanzania for both adventure and value before the short rains and holiday season begin.
Short Rains Begin for Tanzania Safaris & Kilimanjaro Treks
November brings the short rains, refreshing Tanzania’s landscapes and cooling temperatures. Despite occasional showers, Tanzania Safaris remain rewarding, especially in Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Park. Kilimanjaro Treks are still possible, although climbers should be prepared with appropriate gear for wetter conditions. Overall, this quieter month is ideal for travelers seeking a peaceful, off-season adventure in Tanzania.
Festive Season and Prime Wildlife Viewing
December is a vibrant time for Tanzania Safaris, offering excellent wildlife viewing as the Great Migration begins its journey south through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Generally, the weather is warm with occasional short rains. Kilimanjaro Treks remain possible, although conditions can vary based on rainfall. Therefore, December is an ideal month for families and holiday travelers seeking memorable adventures in Tanzania.
