This 2-Day Lodge & Tented Camp Tanzania Safari allows us to experience the highlights of the Northern Safari Circuit. We experience breathtaking wildlife in the midst of some of the most diverse landscapes; monkeys in the forest, lions in trees, elephants amongst the acacias, and a huge variety of animals inside a collapsed volcano. We will also visit the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The landscapes are jaw-dropping and the variety and volume of wildlife we will see are unforgettable! You can also suggest or opt for a Budget Camping Safari Itinerary – And it can be adapted to suit your own needs and preferences, as well as for any seasonal changes or migratory animal movements.

Tour Highlights

Departure and Return Place: We can start/end this tour from any hotel in Moshi/Arusha or from Kilimanjaro International Airport(Google Map)
Departure Time: Please be ready by 6:45 AM for a prompt departure at 7:15 AM.
Return Time: Approximately 4:30 PM.
Dress Code: Casual. Comfortable athletic clothing, hat, and spare clothing.

Season: The Dry season (from late June to October) offers the best wildlife viewing in general – with the wildebeest migration as its absolute highlight. The migration’s timing varies yearly (the best chance of seeing it is during June and July) while the wildebeest calving is from late January to February.

📍 Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pickup at 6:45 AM from your hotel in Arusha, Moshi, or Kilimanjaro International Airport. After a short briefing, you’ll depart by 7:15 AM and head southwest toward Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated gems. This park is famous for its vast landscapes dotted with ancient baobab trees and for hosting large herds of elephants, especially during the dry season.

Once inside the park, you’ll enjoy an exciting full-day game drive, keeping your eyes peeled for lions, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and over 500 bird species. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park, offering panoramic views of the Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of animals throughout the day. Later in the afternoon, you’ll exit the park and head toward your lodge or tented camp near the Ngorongoro highlands for dinner and overnight rest.

📍 Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, you’ll depart for the nearby Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 600 meters into the crater, one of the most stunning wildlife destinations in the world. Known for its dense animal population and dramatic scenery, the Ngorongoro Crater is home to the Big Five — lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo — along with hyenas, hippos, warthogs, and countless other species.

Your game drive inside the crater will last for several hours, with a picnic lunch served at a scenic spot on the crater floor, often near a hippo pool. After soaking in the unforgettable wildlife encounters and views, you’ll begin your drive back to Arusha or Moshi, arriving around 4:30 PM. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your incredible two-day safari.

How far in advance should I make a booking?

We recommend booking as soon as you know you can travel, and have decided on which tour you would like to go on. Some of our tours can be quite popular so it’s best to secure your spot as soon as possible.

Will I see wildlife?

Prior to the climb, you’ll enjoy an acclimatization day with wildlife viewing and nature walks. Trekking through the rain forest, you’re likely to spot black-and-white Colobus monkeys, tropical birds and more.
