Our journey began with a simple yet powerful goal: to provide free education in Tanzania for children from underprivileged backgrounds. Eight years ago, my younger brother, Nicas, and I founded a grassroots school in our local village. Today, our school supports over 30 children in kindergarten, offering them a safe place to learn, grow, and dream.
Our Mission: Education for All
Access to quality education remains a major challenge in many parts of Africa, especially for families living in poverty. In our community, too many children are unable to attend school simply because their families cannot afford school fees, uniforms, or meals.
To break this cycle, we established a completely free kindergarten program where children aged three to six can begin their educational journey. Once they reach the age of six or seven, we transition them into local government schools, fully prepared and confident to continue their learning.
Our goal is simple: no child should be denied an education because of poverty.
How We Sustain Our School
Running a free school takes dedication—and funding. Rather than relying entirely on donations, we have developed a series of sustainable income-generating activities to cover school expenses such as teacher salaries, school supplies, and a daily meal program.
These initiatives are not only practical—they also align with our values of sustainability, community empowerment, and local participation.
1. Selling African Art Online
We collaborate with talented local artists in Tanzania to create and sell authentic African paintings. Each piece is a vibrant reflection of Tanzanian life, wildlife, and culture. We sell these artworks through our online shop and social media, giving global audiences a chance to support our mission through art.
After covering production costs, 100% of the profits are directed to the school. Your purchase supports both the artist and the children, making this a powerful way to buy African art online and make a real difference.
2. Sustainable Farming & Gardening Projects
We’ve also launched a community farming initiative, where we grow and sell tree seedlings, leafy vegetables, and ornamental flowers around the school grounds. These items are sold locally, and the income is reinvested into our school.

Many of the children in our care come from homes where food is not guaranteed. That’s why we make it a priority to provide a nutritious meal of porridge each day. It might seem simple, but for some children, this is their only proper meal.
